I’ve always been attracted to the lines of different vessels, particularly small, wood-hulled dories and sailboats. I suppose it’s because you can see the handcraft that goes into their construction, and the graceful aging of their hulls and rails always conveys their heritage. But then there’s their symbiotic relationship with the water, particularly calm waters in which they appear to pose, waiting to be photographed.
