Photographer's Notes
I like how simple, mundane landscape features such as burr reeds lying on the water’s surface form evocative patterns. This Maine Burr Reed series of images really couldn’t be captured in color-the use of black & white film forces the pattern to separate from the background.
Print Description
Maine Burr Reeds #1 is a large format fine art photography print captured on film by Mike Sleeper. Burr reeds rise from still water in stark black and white, their vertical forms mirrored and multiplied by the surface, creating a quiet interplay of reflection, negative space, and rhythmic repetition.
Available as large or extra large wall art in limited editions, printed locally and hand-assembled. Suited for home, office, or hospitality environments.
